A 22-year-old man was killed in a drive-by Wednesday in Rogers Park on the North Side.

The attack happened about 4 p.m. in the 1600 block of West Jonquil Terrace, Chicago police said.

He was on the sidewalk with several other people when a dark-colored Jeep Cherokee drove up and the front seat passenger fired shots, police said.

Jemel Murphy was hit multiple times and taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, where he died, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. He lived in Rogers Park.

Police are reviewing private surveillance video from the scene.

No one is in custody as detectives conduct a homicide investigation.
