A person is in custody after a 28-year-old man was struck in the head and killed Tuesday in a domestic-related incident in Albany Park on the Northwest Side.

Officers found the man unresponsive in a home about 5:20 a.m. in the 4800 block of North Central Park Avenue, Chicago police said.

He had been hit in the head with a blunt object and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified him as Philip Noffz. An autopsy ruled his death a homicide.

A suspect was arrested, according to police, who said the incident was domestic in nature. No charges have been filed.

Area Five detectives are conducting a homicide investigation.
