The 21-year-old was outside in the 5200 block of West Adams Street about 11:50 p.m. when he was shot multiple times in the body, police said.

A man was shot and killed Friday night in South Austin on the West Side.

Lezerick Williams was outside in the 5200 block of West Adams Street about 11:50 p.m. when he was shot multiple times in the body, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, officials said.

No one was in custody.
