A man was shot Thursday while in a car with a 7-year-old boy in Calumet Heights on the South Side.
Another car approached and someone inside fired shots about 2:55 p.m. in the 1700 block of East 95th Street, Chicago police said.
The man was hit in the chin and was listed in good condition at Trinity Hospital, police said.
Police initially reported that the boy had suffered a graze wound to the ear, but later said the boy was not shot.
No one was in custody.
