Police are warning Lower West Side residents of a string of recent home burglaries reported in Pilsen and Heart of Chicago.
In each incident, someone enters the home through an open window or by forcing open a rear door and takes items from inside, Chicago police said.
The burglaries happened:
- About 12:15 a.m. May 10 in the 900 block of West 18th Place;
- Between 7:50 a.m. and 7 p.m. May 19 in the 900 block of West 19th Place;
- Between 3 a.m. and 8 a.m. May 22 in the 1800 block of West 21st Place;
Police did not have a description of the burglar.
