Kimmel is a dad again; Gosling will be one soon

Something tells me, Jimmy Kimmel’s new baby will provide the late night talk show host and comic a lot of new material for his monologues.

Kimmel and his wife, Molly McNearney, welcomed new daughter Jane on Thursday morning.

Kimmel used the now-common way to announce the news — turning to Twitter to tweet, “Congratulations to my beautiful and very tough wife @mollymcnearney on delving our baby this morning.”

The comedian has two older children, daughter Katie and a son, Kevin, with his ex-wife, Gina Kimmel.

While some may think Jane is a bit plain (I don’t, by the way) — it jives with Kimmel’s stated desire not to saddle his new child with a trendy name, as is frequently the case with current celebs.

Earlier this year, Kimmel had fun with Ellen DeGeneres, chatting about his then un-born child’s moniker. “Karate or The Riddler are the names we’re thinking about now,” Kimmel joked in February — humorously kidding about a potential middle name for the baby. “I would like the baby’s middle to be Effin, and not the curse version of it, like e-f-f-i-n. Like Ellen Effin DeGeneres. I mean, what a great name. Right?” said Kimmel laughing all the way.

Ryan Gosling will be a papa. Eva Mendes, the 33-year-old actor’s girlfriend of nearly three years, is said to be expecting the couple’s first child. According to various reports, Mendes is about seven months along.

The famously-private couple have gone to extreme lengths to keep the pregnancy under wraps and have not commented on it.
