Music fans – circle March 13 on your calendars. Actually, while you’ve got the pen out, circle July 17, 18 and 19 as well. The first date is when tickets for the 2009 Pitchfork Music Festival go on sale. The July dates, of course, are when the actual celebration of independent (and, increasingly, classic) music goes down in Union Park.
No word yet on who will be playing the fest this year, but with past lineups including Public Enemy, Sonic Youth, De La Soul, Spoon, Animal Collective, Girl Talk, Andrew Bird and others, you can bet you’re going to want these tickets.
