Jennifer Aniston & me, chocolate chips & making tax $$ with marijuana. That’s what I noticed on TV talk shows and radio morning drive today:
- “GMA” and “Today” both were talking about Jennifer Aniston haircut. It’s the same as mine, only she (and her stylist) get it to be sleek and sophisticated the way mine is supposed to be instead of the wavy mass on my head. The “Horrible Bosses” star (she was hilarious in that and a sequel’s out soon) always looks good, doesn’t she?
- Melissa Forman & Jeanne Sparrow on “You & Me This Morning” track down the most decadent treats. (Tough job, but someone’s gotta do it.) Coming our way for the holidays — because nothing says Christmas like potato chips — is the Lays Wavy milk chocolate variety. It’s limited edition (unless wildly successful) and will be in Target stores. Sweet and salty, and as Jeanne says, crunchy and creamy, this has to be a big seller, don’t you think?
- Heard Mary L. Dixon’s news report on Lin Brehmer’s show on WXRT that Colorado voters just gave the okay to a big tax on recreational marijuana. The Rockie Mountain state will be getting a projected $70 million a year from the new tax. Pay attention, Illinois. The state needs green, folks wanna smoke green. A win/win situation. (And BTW, why don’t more morning drive stations have a good newscaster like Mary anymore?)
- “Today’s” Dr. Nancy Snyder shared her family’s heartfelt adoption story of daughter Kate’s search and meeting of the 27-year-old’s birth mother. It’s such a story of love; I’m warning you, bring out the hankies.
