A man was struck and killed by a train Sunday in southwest suburban Lemont.

Nicholas Cialoni, 23, was hit by a train about 2:22 a.m. near the area of 1 Stephen Street in Lemont, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Cialoni, of the 21500 block of Eich Drive in Crest Hill, was pronounced dead at the scene, the medical examiner’s office said.

An autopsy found that Cialoni died from injuries from the train striking him. Alcohol intoxication was listed as a secondary cause and his death was ruled an accident, the medical examiner’s office said.
