Elderly man missing for a month from South Shore

Chicago Police issued a special missing person alert for an elderly man last seen in October on the South Side.

Homer Lewis, 69, was last contacted in the last week of October, Area Central detectives said in an alert issued Tuesday. He is missing from the South Shore neighborhood, near the area of 72nd Street and Constance Avenue.

Lewis frequents the areas of 71st Street and Jeffery Boulevard, as well as 93rd Street and Commercial Avenue in Calumet Heights, also on the South Side, police said.

Lewis is described as a 5-foot-6, 360-pound black man with brown eyes, black hair and a dark complexion, police said.
