Overnight lane closures are scheduled for Thursday on the northbound Veterans Memorial Tollway, including closure of all open road toll lanes at the Army Trail Toll Plaza, for installation of new over-the-road signage.

Beginning at 11 p.m., traffic will be rerouted to the right through the cash plaza lanes, according to a statement from the Illinois Tollway. The right departure lane past the cash toll plaza will also close at 11 p.m. and traffic will be shifted to the left once it reaches the mainline.

Full roadway closures on I-355 north of the Army Trail Road Interchange, each lasting 15 minutes, are scheduled from 1 a.m. to 3 a.m. on Friday, the tollway said. All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. before the morning rush hour.

An overnight closure of the ramp carrying traffic from westbound Army Trail Road to northbound I-355 is scheduled from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. Friday, according to the statement. Traffic will be rerouted north on Rohlwing Road and directed to enter northbound I-290 at the Lake Street Interchange.

The closures will be scheduled for Saturday into Sunday if crews are unable to perform this work Thursday night.

I-PASS will be accepted in all lanes at the cash plaza during the project, according to the statement.
