Woman injured in Logan Square school bus crash

A school bus aide was injured in a school bus crash Friday morning in the Logan Square neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

The crash, which involved the school bus and an SUV, happened at Fullerton and California about 6 a.m., according to preliminary information from Chicago Police.

There were no children on the bus at the time of the crash, according to police.

The aide, a 55-year-old woman, was taken to Norwegian American Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. She was suffering from some soreness after the crash and was taken to the hospital to be evaluated as a precautionary measure.

No other injuries were reported, police said. The circumstances surrounding the crash remained under investigation Friday morning.
