Three people were injured — one of whom had to be airlifted from the scene — in a crash Thursday afternoon in west suburban Sugar Grove.

The three-vehicle crash happened about 4 p.m. on Route 47 near Prairie Road, according to Sugar Grove Fire Protection District Assistant Chief Wayne Parson.

A woman was airlifted from the crash with non-life-threatening injures to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, fire officials said. Two men who also suffered non-life-threatening injures were taken to a hospital via ambulance.

Route 47 was closed to temporarily closed after the crash, but was reopened to traffic as of 6:15 p.m.
