A 17-year-old girl who was fatally struck by a Metra train near Edgebrook on the North Side Friday has been identified.

Amanda Vlamakis, 17, of the 8500 block of Niles Center Road in Skokie, was hit by train No. 2141 just after 6 p.m. between the Forest glen and Edgebrook train stations, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office and Metra spokesperson Michael Gillis.

She was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the medical examiner.
