A man was shot in the knee early Sunday in the Heart of Italy neighborhood on the South Side.

The 28-year-old was walking about 2:45 a.m. in the 2300 block of South Oakley when he heard shots and felt pain, according to Chicago Police.

He was struck in the knee and taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition, police said.
