A man was wounded in a shooting Monday night in the West Side Lawndale neighborhood.

The 26-year-old was walking about 7:20 p.m. in the 4800 block of West Arthington when someone walked out from a gangway, pulled out a gun and opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

He suffered a gunshot wound to the left leg and was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition, police said.
