A man was wounded in a drive-by shooting in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side Wednesday.

The 28-year-old man was walking in the 5600 block of South Carpenter Street at 8:24 p.m. when a burgundy minivan drove by and someone inside fired shots, police said.

The man suffered a gunshot wound to the right leg and was taken to Stroger Hospital where his condition stabilized.
