'Crack' pies at the White House? Obama says they're that good

How good are the White House pies? More importantly, how addictive are the White House pies?

Monday night during an LGBT pride event, President Barack Obama joked about some suspicions he has about outgoing White House pastry Chef Bill Yosses’ secret ingredient.

“We call Bill the ‘Crustmaster’ because his pies — I don’t know what he does, whether he puts crack in them,” Obama said.

But Michelle Obama quickly set the record straight.

“There is no crack in our pies,” she said.

Crack or no crack, there’s no disputing one thing: The pies aren’t good for the president’s health.

“I’m just saying that when we first came to the White House, I don’t know if some of you remember this — the first year, like, my cholesterol shot up,” he said. “And the doctor was like, ‘What happened? You had like this really low cholesterol. You were really healthy.’ And I thought, it’s the pie. So we had to establish like a really firm rule about no pie during the week.”
