Turkey update: First season, south zone harvest up

The first season for turkey hunters in Illinois’ south zone ended Friday with harvest up from last spring.

Here is the word from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources:

The preliminary harvest total for first season in the south was 1,613, compared with 1,526 in 2015.
