Lady Gaga reportedly has parted ways with “Chicago Fire” star Taylor Kinney, ending a romance that made the pop star a regular presence in Chicago.

The couple began dating in July of 2011 after he played her love interest in the video for “You and I.” Kinney popped the question with a heart-shaped diamond ring on Valentine’s Day 2015, but they never tied the knot or even announced a wedding date.

TMZ, which reported the breakup, said both stars are keeping quiet about who pulled the plug.

Gaga, a native New Yorker, was a frequent visitor to Chicago, where Kinney worked on his NBC series. At times she lent her star power to local causes, notably dunking into frigid Lake Michigan in 2015 and 2016 with Kinney for the Polar Plunge benefitting Special Olympics Chicago.

According to Gaga’s Instagram account, she is doing charity work in Mexico. Her posts from Tuesday make no mention of Kinney. It’s a similar story over on his page, where he was seen celebrating his birthday on July 15, with no sign of her. In fact, you have to go back several months to find a photo of them together.
