A 17-year-old boy was shot Thursday afternoon in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.

He was standing on the corner at 12:35 p.m. in the 3800 block of West Wilcox when a male emerged from a nearby alley and fired multiple shots, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the left leg and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition stabilized, police said.
