A man was shot early Monday in the Wicker Park neighborhood.

About 3:30 a.m., the 23-year-old was sitting in the back seat of a vehicle in the 2000 block of West Pierce, when he heard gunfire and felt pain, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the right side of his torso and taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
