Two people have been charged with an armed robbery that happened nearly four months ago at a Metra station in south suburban Harvey.

Demareea Lindsey, 18, of Park Forest; and a 15-year-old Park Forest boy were each charged with aggravated robbery, according to Metra.

About 9 p.m. April 18, four males approached a commuter who was waiting for an outbound train at the Metra Electric station at Park Avenue and 154th Street in Harvey, according to a statement from the rail agency. Two of the suspects pulled out BB guns and demanded the victim’s iPhone, money and bag; then ran away.

On Wednesday morning, Metra police got a tip that the suspects were standing near 154th and Honore in Harvey, police said. Lindsey and the teen were arrested after a short foot chase.

Lindsey was taken to the Cook County Detention Center in Markham to await a bond hearing, and the teen was taken to the Cook County Juvenile Detention Center, according to the statement.

Arrests are pending for the other two suspects, according to Metra police.
