Two people were shot early Wednesday in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side.

The shooting happened about 2 a.m. in the 6400 block of South King Drive, according to preliminary information from Chicago Police.

A 30-year-old woman was shot in the back and taken in critical condition to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, police said. A 28-year-old man suffered a graze wound to the chest and was taken in good condition to the University of Chicago Medical Center.
