A woman struck and killed by a Metra train last week near the west suburban Roselle station on the Milwaukee District West line has been identified as a 58-year-old Schaumburg resident.

The pedestrian was struck by inbound train 2242 near the Prospect Road crossing in Roselle about 3:45 p.m. Nov. 7, according to Metra spokesman Tom Miller.

Lori McClain of Schaumburg suffered multiple traumatic injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the DuPage County coroner’s office.
