If there was one big reason Rich South emerged from the Rich South Galaxy Tournament with upset wins over state powerhouses Marian Catholic and Joliet Catholic, it was rebounding.

In the championship game, the Stars totaled 51 rebounds. Twenty-five were on the offensive end, resulting in 19 of their points in the 65-54 win over Joliet Catholic. The best at finding her way to wayward shots was Dasia Evans, who had 18 rebounds.
