A man was shot to death in the Bronzeville neighborhood on the South Side Monday evening, police said.

About 5:30 p.m., 37-year-old Torrente G. Pickens was found unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds in a vehicle in the 100 block of East 44th Street, police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office said.

Pickens, of the 3400 block of South King, was dead at the scene, the medical examiner’s office said.

A police source said the man was a documented gang member.
