SHARE 'Small explosion' outside Riverdale steel mill

(RIVERDALE) No one was injured in a small explosion at a steel mill Thursday night in south suburban Riverdale.

The explosion happened about 11 p.m at ArcelorMittal, 13500 S. Perry, Riverdale Police said.

A representative for the company said there was “a small explosion” that happened outside the building and that there were “no evacuations.”

Police and firefighters were still at the scene just past 11:30 p.m., the representative said.
