SHARE I-55 ramp closed to Illinois 171 in Summit

(SUMMIT) An exit ramp from Interstate 55 to Illinois 171 in southwest suburban Summit is closed Tuesday for repairs.

The ramp from northbound I-55 to southbound Illinois 171 in Summit will be closed until about 5 p.m., according to the Illinois Department of Transportation.

A detour is posted to Harlem Avenue, about 1.5 miles northeast of Illinois 171, according to IDOT.

Drivers can expect delays and should allow extra travel time.
