A 19-year-old man the police said has documented gang ties was shot in a leg and wounded Saturday afternoon in Chicago Lawn on the Southwest Side.

It happened around 2:15 p.m. in the 2500 block of West 63rd Street, according to police Officer Thomas Sweeney, who said the man was taken in good condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
