Shia LaBeouf and Alec Baldwin —two frequently combative actors, whose mutual dislike caused LaBeouf to leave a play they were set to do together — were both in New York courtrooms Thursday.
Baldwin was there to tell a judge he’d rather pay a fine, than apologize to a cop who stopped him for riding a bicycle the wrong way on a one-way street. That incident led to Baldwin being charged with disorderly conduct.
The actor got off with a slap on the wrist, after Judge John DeLury asked him, “Can you stay out of trouble, Alexander?”
Also telling Baldwin “looks like you have a short fuse,” the judge gave him an adjournment in contemplation of dismissal.
†As for LaBeouf, the former “Transformers” star was in another Manhattan courtroom Thursday, as his attorneys worked to
find a resolution in the actor’s disorderly conduct case, stemming from him disrupting a Broadway performance of “Cabaret,” starring Alan Cumming.
LaBeouf is due back in court Sept. 10.
