Hinsdale Central’s girl lacrosse team played Montini on Friday and won 16 to 11. Kate Christian and Anna Santulli led the Red Devils, each with seven points (three goals and four assists for Christian; four goals and three assists for Anna.

After jumping to a quick 3-0 lead, Montini came roaring back and, at one point, narrowed the lead to only one goal. But Hinsdale Central scored just twice within one minute of halftime, making the lead 8-5 at halftime.

Overall, it was a great team effort by Hinsdale Central in a game that was closer than the score indicated. Jacquie Edwards had two goals and one assist, Honour Mallaney, Yaz Hamood and Anne Richter each had two goals while Gracyn Elliot added one.

A notable mention goes out to Mallaney, who was named Notable Player of the Week for her performance the previous week by Nike/US Lacrosse Midwest Girls Lacrosse. Congrats, Honour!
