(GARY, Ind.) A man was found shot to death Friday morning in Gary, Indiana.

Officers responding to a call of an unconscious man about 9:30 a.m. in the 200 block of Waite Street found him lying on the ground unresponsive with a gunshot wound, according to a statement from Gary police.

Orlando Charleston, 37, of the 700 block of Clinton Street in Gary, Ind., was dead at the scene, the Lake County Coroner’s office said. His death was ruled a homicide.
