Jason Aldean engaged to ‘Idol’ star who snared him from wife

Jason Aldean and Brittany Kerr are now engaged. TMZ reported the coosome twosome may have crossed that big threshold Wednesday at the San Diego Zoo, while the country star was on the West Coast leg of his current concert tour.

The singer’s representative has confirmed that the couple are indeed planning to wed.

Kerr, of course, is the former “American Idol” contestant who was “the other woman” responsible for the breakup of Aldean’s marriage to his now ex-wife Jessica Ussery, the mother of his two children. Ussery called it quits after photos surfaced in 2012 of Aldean kissing Kerr. At the time, the musician said he had “screwed up” and apologized, but a couple of months later divorce papers were filed.
