A northwest suburban man has been charged with trying to break into a north suburban home last summer.

Alexander R. Pacino, 39, is charged with one felony count of attempted residential burglary for trying to break into a home in the 9200 block of Lavergne Avenue in Skokie on July 9, 2014, according to a statement from Skokie police.

Pacino, of the 2200 block of Goebbert Road in Arlington Heights, was arrested after a “lengthy investigation” by Skokie and Chicago police, according to the statement.

Bond was set at $100,000 and Pacino is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 20, police said.
