Man critically wounded in Rogers Park drive-by shooting

A man was critically wounded in a drive-by shooting in the Rogers Park neighborhood on the North Side Wednesday night.

The 26-year-old was standing on a corner in the 1900 block of West Birchwood about 8:12 p.m. when a vehicle drove by and someone inside shot him in the head, police said.

He was taken to Presence St. Francis Hospital in Evanston in critical condition, police said.
