2 shot in Chicago Lawn

Two men were injured in a Chicago Lawn neighborhood shooting Tuesday night on the South Side.

The men, ages 22 and 29, were getting into a vehicle in the 6300 block of South Artesian about 10:30 p.m. when a dark minivan pulled up and someone inside opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

The 22-year-old suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the body and was taken in serious condition to Stroger Hospital, police said. The older man was shot in the right leg and was taken to Holy Cross Hospital, where his condition was stabilized.

A police source said both men are documented gang members.
