A man was killed in a Roseland neighborhood shooting Wednesday afternoon.

Derrius Drakes, 23, was standing outside about 4:30 p.m. in the 11300 block of South Parnell when someone shot him in the back, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Drakes, of the 200 block of West 11th Street, took himself to Roseland Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 4:42 p.m., authorities said.
