During an interview that aired on MSNBC on Sunday, Attorney General Eric Holder received a request that sounded more like something from Super Bowl media day.

“Would you quack for us?” host Melissa Harris-Perry asked Holder.

The request came at the end of the interview that focused on voting rights and the use of police force.

“You know, we call you ‘The Duck’ in nerdland,” Harris-Perry said, in reference to the viewers of her show.

“The duck?” Holder asked.

“We call you the duck,” Harris-Perry responded.

She said the nickname comes because Holder has “a very sort of placid and even way of presenting, but you are just working for justice underneath.”

And then came the request, that if fulfilled, would have gone viral.

“Would you quack for us?” she asked.

“Well, I’m not sure I’m going to do that,” Holder said.
