Man shot in Woodlawn

A man was shot in the Woodlawn neighborhood on the South Side early Friday.

About 12:30 a.m., the 22-year-old was shot in the neck in the 6200 block of South Cottage Grove, police said.

He took himself to the University of Chicago Medical Center, but his condition was not immediately known, police said.

One of the wounded, a 32-year-old man, was driving down the street when he was struck by gunfire, police said.
The 34-year-old was crossing the street just before 8:30 p.m. in the 2900 block of West Columbus Avenue when she was struck by a black SUV.
