One of the principles of man-to-man defense is for the off-the-ball defender to “see the ball and his man.” The Washington Wizards’ Otto Porter forgot that second part on Tuesday night, as the Bulls’ Tony Snell vanished on him.

As embarrassing as it was for Porter, Snell wasn’t able to knock down the open jumper. Still, when Marcin Gortat had to switch on to Snell to cover Porter’s lapse, it enabled the Bulls’ Pau Gasol to grab an offensive rebound, get fouled and make two key free throws.

The Bulls went on to win 97-92, but Porter won the Internet.
