A man was shot in the foot on the Near West Side Sunday evening.

The shooting happened about 6:45 p.m. in the 100 block of South Rockwell, police said.

The 21-year-old man was sitting in a parked vehicle when another male walked up and fired shots, striking him in the left foot, police said.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition had stabilized, police said.
