Three restaurants in the North Side Lincoln Park and Lake View neighborhoods were burglarized over the weekend.

The suspects pried open the restaurants’ doors after they were closed, according to the community alert from Area North detectives.

The burglaries happened in the 2500 block of North Lincoln between Friday and Saturday; in the 2400 block of North Clark between Friday and Saturday; and in the 3100 block of North Broadway between Saturday and Sunday, police said.

The suspect in the Broadway burglary is described as a black man with a slim build, about 40 years old and 5-foot-6, police said. He was wearing a green shirt and carrying a toolbox.

He drove away from the scene in a white work van, and an accomplice fled in a blue and green work van.
