Two teenage boys have been charged with three recent business burglaries in northwest suburban Woodstock.
The burglaries happened at 3:14 a.m. June 3 at Kristensen’s Marathon; at 4:22 a.m. June 6 at Armanetti’s Liquor; and at 5:56 a.m. June 8 at Farm N Fleet, according to Woodstock police.
About 2:45 a.m. Wednesday, officers found two teenagers near South and Dean streets. One of them, a 14-year-old boy, was wearing a green sweat shirt with the number “686” on the front, which matched one worn by a suspect seen in surveillance video from the Farm N Fleet burglary, police said.
The officers searched the boy’s backpack and found two BB pistols similar to ones stolen from Farm N Fleet, police said.
The teens were each charged with three felony counts of burglary, three felony counts of criminal damage to property, one felony count of theft, and two misdemeanor counts of theft. They were also each charged with two local ordinance violations — purchase or acceptance of alcohol by a minor, and curfew violation.
Both were released to their guardians pending an appearance in juvenile court.
