A man was shot dead late Saturday in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side, police said.

The 18-year-old was walking in the 4200 block of West Division at 11:18 p.m. when a gunman walked up and fired shots, police said.

He was shot once in the chest and pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The Cook County medical examiner’s office could not immediately confirm the fatality.

Police said the gunman ran away after the shooting.
