A 17-year-old boy was shot Saturday evening in the Morgan Park neighborhood on the Far South Side.

The teen was shot in the forearm at 5:10 p.m. in the 11300 block of South Racine, police said. He took himself to Advocate Trinity Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

A law enforcement source said he is a documented gang member.
