Elgin police have released surveillance video of a person of interest in a fatal shooting in the northwest suburb in April.

Officers responding to reports of a disturbance near Prairie Street and Grove Avenue about 2:50 a.m. on April 18 found 20-year-old Daniel Figueroa dead with multiple gunshot wounds, according to a statement from Elgin police.

Figueroa’s family is offering a $2,500 cash reward for the arrest and prosecution of the suspect, police said.

Detectives have recovered surveillance video from the area of the shooting and are asking anyone to call Detective Brian Gorcowski at (847) 289-2613. Anonymous tips can also be provided at (847) 695-4195 or by texting 847411 and including “ELGINPD” at the beginning of the text.
