We’re officially into the hot part of the summer — July and August — and the A/C is cranked.

But there are other ways to cool off — and they don’t all have the calorie counts of ice cream.

Making homemade popsicles is easy — basically mix and freeze. But the flavor combinations of the frozen treats made at home can go well beyond those available at the grocery store, as these recipes we found demonstrate:

• Watermelon, lime and ginger ice pop, via Real Simple: Blend seedless watermelon, sugar, lime juice and grated fresh ginger for a refreshing and fruity treat.

• Swirled berry yogurt popsicles, via Smitten Kitchen: Greek yogurt, blackberries, lime juice and a little sugar come together in a popsicle fit for breakfast.

• Raspberry-Peach Bellini Ice Pops, via Bon Appetit: This one’s for the adults. Like a frozen version of a peach bellini, peach and raspberry puree are frozen with prosecco in this recipe.

• Frozen banana popsicles, via SkinnyTaste: There’s nothing more to these than freezing a banana and dipping it in melted chocolate — but they’re a healthy and satisfying dessert.

• Almond cookie popsicles, via Buzzfeed: With exactly two ingredients, almond milk and Speculoos cookie butter, you can make a popsicle. Two ingredients!
