An 82-year-old north suburban man who had been missing since Friday afternoon has been found.

Donald Ukleja had last been seen at his home in the 38200 block of North First Avenue since about 2:30 p.m. Friday, according to a statement from the Lake County sheriff’s office. He was headed to Ringwood to pick his grandson up from work.

About 9:40 p.m. Saturday, he was found at the Chicago Yacht Club, 400 E. Monroe. His vehicle had run out of a gas and a good Samaritan let him use a phone to call his family, police announced Sunday morning.

He was taken to a hospital for evaluation as a precaution.
