Bears outside linebackers Willie Young and Lamarr Houston will not play in Thursday night’s exhibition opener as they continue to recover from surgery.

Coach John Fox said on the pregame radio show that neither are “ready, ready” for live football yet.

Houston famously tore his ACL in Week 8 while celebrating a garbage-time sack of Patriots backup Jimmy Garoppolo. Young tore his Achilles’ tendon in Week 16 last year.

Both have been limited during training camp.
